I'm Coming Soon
Jesus came as I lay sleeping,
Like a stranger in the night.
As I awoke, I felt him near,
Though He had vanished from my sight.
He said beware: "I'm coming soon,"
These words He said to me.
And He would appear like a flash of light,
For all the world to see.
For He'd sent many signs and wonders,
To prepare us all for this day.
Though He'd been calling His lost sheep in,
Far too many had decided to stray.
There will be weeping and wailing,
As the lost are told of their fate.
The rich man will lay down his treasures,
"He'll pray," but his prayers come too late.
For prayer is the key to heaven,
We've been told many times before.
But we still have ignored His teaching,
And Jesus, alone can open the door.
Yes He said to me; "I'm coming soon,"
Though He never said just when.
We should all take time to realize,
"It's the beginning of the end?"
